I am fortunate. I don’t have to spend money on an alarm clock! I have a furbaby who wakes me up starting at 3am and every hour on the hour until I get up to feed the bellies of two very demanding meow babies (who by the way are not kittens). I am always up and out of bed at 5:00am. Before the sun even thinks about chasing the dark away. My morning routine consists of dropping food into the dishes, starting the coffee and if I really thought about it, I’d do the auto brew since it has one.. but OH NO! I don’t, I keep telling myself I will but forget by the time I crawl into bed. I do the usual bathroom routine then I head for my little corner of our livingroom where I have a small table and my array of journals, my bible, devotionals, pens, markers… I’m creative, so I wont list it all. But you get the picture. It’s my “Christian Corner In Gods Presence”. This is where I blog 🙂 and I also write my letters to God, my morning prayer. Then I’m diving into my devotional book, which at this point is almost at an end for a whole year. I also have two small women’s devotionals that I am entirely in love with. “Too Blessed To Be Stressed” by Debora M. Coty and I have another which is “Choose Grace”. I’m not finding out who the author or authors are of that one but it’s from Barbour Books. Both are 3 minute devotionals, and who can’t take 3 minutes to choose a devotional for their day? Then after all of that as the daylight actually breaks I take out my bible and do my scriptures. I think the scriptures are the best part of my morning. Don’t get me wrong, my prayer time with the Lord is precious and I really soak that time up! Writing a letter to God for me is like the whole “Calgon Take Me A Way” moment.
Anyways, I thought I’d share tidbit photos of my Prayer Journal and my Scripture Journal. This is pretty much me all wrapped up between 3am and 7:30 am. I hope it inspires someone’s creativity. Mind you some things are covered as they have peoples names or are extremely sensitive and private things between me and God.
My Prayer Journal:
Then after that there are prayers. My letters to God. And there you have it! Pretty simple and practical. Tomorrow I’ll share my Scripture Journal with you! It is now time to have my dinner and spend some time watching a biblical movie about Luke going to Saul when he was arrested to get the last of his wisdom before being put to death. I’ve watched it 5 times in the past three or four days and I’m glued to it right now.
I hope you have a wonderful day/evening/night wherever you are in the world!
God Bless and Protect!
